About the Role
Kainuwa Sustainable Development Foundations (KSDF) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Management Advisor for Health Financing and Insurance to support the Gombe State Delivery and Insights Unit (SDIU). In this vital role, you will help bridge data and actionable management decisions to enhance healthcare access, provider performance, and human development outcomes across underserved communities in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret health financing and insurance performance by reviewing enrolment, beneficiary, provider, and claims trends with GoHealth.
- Diagnose financing-related barriers such as affordability, low utilization, and coverage gaps for vulnerable populations.
- Coordinate and track action items, monitoring financing-related TMT decisions and collaborating closely with the Health Financing TWG.
- Generate monthly financing and access exception briefs, GoHealth decision trackers, and quarterly syntheses linking insurance performance to service utilization.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in health financing, health insurance, healthcare management, health economics, or health-system strengthening.
- Strong expertise in strategic purchasing, provider payment mechanisms, and public-sector financing.
- Demonstrated experience working with government health-financing structures and senior government officials, with prior experience in Gombe State highly preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, stakeholder coordination, performance management, and communication skills.
