About the Role
Ultimum Limited is a fast-growing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages manufacturing company and a Nigerian-based subsidiary of Union Camerounaise de Brasseries, a leading total beverages manufacturer with over 50 years of industry success. We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician - Utilities to join our dynamic plant operations team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing utility systems such as boilers, water treatment plants, compressors, and generators to ensure uninterrupted production processes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on utility equipment including boilers, water treatment systems, air compressors, and chillers.
- Monitor utility plant operations and promptly troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections of utility installations to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and factory regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, spare parts inventory, and service records for all utility machinery.
- Collaborate with the production and quality assurance teams to optimize utility output and support overall plant efficiency.
- Respond swiftly to emergency breakdowns and execute effective root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Relevant academic qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline from a recognized institution.
- Proven hands-on experience as a maintenance technician within a fast-moving consumer goods or beverage manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of utility systems, industrial safety standards, and preventive maintenance software.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, mechanical aptitude, and a strong eye for detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment and participate in shift rotations.
