About the Role
Sayed Farms Limited, a leading name in Nigeria's poultry and frozen food distribution sector, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Section Head - Poultry Farms (Electrical) to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will lead our electrical maintenance operations, ensuring maximum equipment uptime, optimal utility management, and adherence to top-tier safety standards across our farm locations.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the installation, inspection, servicing, and repair of electrical systems and specialized equipment across all poultry farm facilities.
- Develop and implement robust preventive and corrective maintenance programmes to minimize operational disruptions and equipment downtime.
- Oversee critical electrical systems and utilities, including power generation, heavy-duty generators, distribution boards, control panels, water pumps, and automated ventilation systems.
- Manage maintenance budgets, monitor expenditures, plan CAPEX and OPEX requirements, and execute effective cost-control measures.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical faults in poultry feeding and drinking systems, automation units, environmental sensors, and associated farm machinery.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise maintenance technicians, assigning daily duties and ensuring the timely and safe completion of all scheduled tasks.
- Collaborate closely with farm management to coordinate maintenance windows and guarantee seamless, uninterrupted agricultural operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track spare parts inventory, and ensure strict compliance with local and international electrical safety regulations.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in maintenance management, ideally within poultry farming, modern agribusiness, or large-scale industrial operations.
- Demonstrated expertise in electrical systems, advanced troubleshooting methodologies, and modern poultry farm equipment maintenance.
- Extensive practical knowledge of farm utilities management, backup power generation, ventilation systems, and automated feeding infrastructures.
- Proven capability in maintenance budgeting, financial planning, capital expenditure management, and operational cost control.
