About the Role
Efezi Southsea Nigeria Limited is a premier hospitality consultancy company incorporated in 2009, dedicated to elevating standards across small and medium hotels in Nigeria. We are currently looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Officer to join our dynamic team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high operational standards across all hotel facilities, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, and office premises to identify and resolve faults promptly.
- Perform electrical, plumbing, and basic HVAC maintenance, ensuring all fixtures and air-conditioning units operate efficiently.
- Monitor generator performance and coordinate scheduled servicing with qualified technicians.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize unexpected equipment breakdowns and repair costs.
- Respond urgently to guest maintenance complaints, restoring rooms and facilities to pristine working order.
- Manage maintenance tools, oversee spare parts requisitions, and ensure cost-effective resource utilization.
- Supervise external contractors for specialized repairs and maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance activities.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks strictly comply with safety standards and facility regulations, reporting major hazards to management.
- Minimum of Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or Trade Test Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience in facility maintenance, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, respond to emergencies, and communicate effectively with guests and staff.
