About the Role
Dexterous Applied Training Institute (DATI) is an industry-certified training and consultancy institute dedicated to bridging the critical skills gap within Nigerian industries including Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, and Energy. We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Maintenance & Equipment Technician to ensure peak operational availability, reliability, and safety across our technical training machinery and facilities. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in delivering flawless practical training sessions by preventing downtime and maintaining top-tier industrial equipment standards.
Key Responsibilities- Execute routine preventive and corrective maintenance schedules across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation assets while swiftly diagnosing and repairing machinery faults.
- Calibrate precision measuring tools, testing simulators, and laboratory apparatus according to strict industry specifications prior to practical classes.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical systems, perform instrumentation checks, and carry out routine HVAC repairs across all DATI facility centres.
- Maintain an accurate inventory register of workshop tools, safety gear, and spare parts, proactively requisitioning replacement components before stock depletion.
- Enforce rigorous workshop safety protocols and supervise maintenance apprentices and assistants during daily operations.
- Minimum of an OND, Trade Test (I, II, III), or recognized Apprenticeship Certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- At least 3 years of proven, practical experience in industrial equipment maintenance, electrical diagnostics, instrument calibration, and machinery repair within Nigeria.
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, technical equipment troubleshooting, and workshop tool safety management.
