About the Role
Ascentech Services Limited is seeking a dedicated and proactive Logistics Officer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing daily logistics and transportation operations, ensuring that all inbound and outbound movements of goods are executed smoothly, safely, and cost-effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries and oversee daily transportation activities.
- Liaise effectively with transporters, suppliers, and external logistics partners to maintain seamless operations.
- Prepare comprehensive logistics reports and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation.
- Monitor delivery schedules closely to guarantee timely and efficient distribution of goods.
- Track operational logistics costs and actively identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Support broader inventory and transportation management processes.
- Ensure strict compliance with company policies, local safety standards, and standard logistics procedures.
- Resolve any delivery or transportation bottlenecks promptly and professionally.
- Minimum of an HND or B.Sc. in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of proven, relevant experience in logistics or transportation management (fresh graduates are not eligible).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with SAP software is strictly required.
- Solid understanding of inventory control and transportation management systems.
- Strong organizational, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and coordinate multiple logistics activities simultaneously.
