About the Role
Oilserv Limited is a leading provider of integrated engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) services and complementary solutions across the onshore, offshore and subsea market segments of the oil and gas sector. We are currently seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious LMP Pumpman to join our dynamic operations team in Nigeria. In this critical field-based role, you will be responsible for the safe operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance of LMP pumping equipment to ensure high efficiency and strict compliance with operational and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
Key Responsibilities- Operate LMP pumps and associated equipment efficiently during field operations.
- Assist with the safe rig-up and rig-down of pumping equipment at the worksite.
- Conduct thorough pre-job equipment checks and promptly report defects or abnormalities.
- Monitor pump pressure, flow rate, volumes, and other critical operating parameters.
- Assist with the mixing, handling, and pumping of treatment fluids and chemicals as instructed.
- Follow approved job procedures and instructions provided by the LMP Supervisor.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and ensure proper housekeeping at the worksite.
- Assist with routine equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
- Complete equipment and operational checklists accurately and on time.
- Participate actively in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and emergency drills.
- Comply with all Company and client HSE requirements, including proper PPE utilization.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment faults, spills, incidents, or near misses.
- Support the broader crew during mobilization, demobilization, and other field activities.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in oilfield pumping, LMP operations, or a closely related field.
- Technical qualification such as an OND, NCE, or HND in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline is a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrated practical experience operating pumps and specialized oilfield equipment.
- Basic understanding of pressure control, fluid handling, and rigorous wellsite safety protocols.
- Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues effectively.
