About the Role
Skylight Towers Homes and Properties Limited is a recognized real estate investment company dedicated to acquiring lands and developing them into strategic, secure, and high-yielding estates. Powered by a team of dynamic and innovative professionals, we understand the complexities of the Nigerian real estate market. We are currently inviting applications from qualified, dedicated, and result-oriented legal practitioners for the full-time position of Legal Officer at our office in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, review, and manage land sale agreements, deeds of assignment, leases, and other property-related legal documents.
- Conduct thorough legal due diligence and verify land ownership, title documents, and property transactions.
- Advise management on legal risks, regulatory compliance, and general real estate matters.
- Handle property disputes, contractual issues, and client-related legal matters professionally.
- Liaise effectively with government agencies, land registries, surveyors, and other relevant professionals.
- Ensure all company property transactions strictly comply with applicable Nigerian laws and regulations.
- Maintain proper and secure records of contracts, legal documents, and ongoing cases.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations where authorized.
- Must be a qualified legal practitioner called to the Nigerian Bar.
- Possess an LL.B degree and current professional eligibility to practice law in Nigeria.
- Proven previous experience in real estate, property law, conveyancing, or commercial law will be a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrate excellent legal drafting, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Possess strong integrity, professionalism, high confidentiality, and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with management and cross-functional teams.
