We are currently looking for a passionate and qualified academic professional to join our Department of Nursing Science as a Lecturer in Mental and Psychiatric Nursing. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering a transformative educational experience, conducting impactful research, and mentoring students to excel in a rapidly evolving global healthcare landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Mental and Psychiatric Nursing to undergraduate students.
- Develop, update, and review curriculum content in alignment with current nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise student clinical placements, research projects, and community mental health outreaches.
- Participate actively in department meetings, academic committees, and university-wide events.
- Conduct relevant research and publish findings in peer-reviewed academic journals to advance the field of psychiatric nursing.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to nursing students.
- Possess a Master's degree or Ph.D. in Nursing Science with a primary specialization in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing.
- Must be a registered nurse and licensed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) with a valid practicing license.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and academic research within a tertiary institution.
