Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution, invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic professionals for the position of Lecturer III in the Department of Architecture, School of Environmental Studies. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, studio sessions, and practical tutorials in undergraduate and postgraduate architecture courses.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and instructional resources aligned with current industry standards.
- Supervise student design projects, studio work, dissertations, and research activities.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals, and present papers at academic conferences and seminars.
- Participate in departmental, school, and institutional committee meetings, accreditation exercises, and community service initiatives.
- Mentor and advise students on academic progress, career pathways, and professional development in the architecture field.
- A Master's degree in Architecture or a closely related relevant discipline, accompanied by at least two (2) conference or seminar papers.
- Alternatively, a good Bachelor's degree with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division in Architecture, plus a minimum of three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, alongside two (2) conference or seminar papers.
- Serving Assistant Lecturers who have completed at least three (3) years of satisfactory service and presented two (2) conference or seminar papers are also eligible to apply.
- Strong proficiency in architectural design software, technical drawing, and modern pedagogical methods.
