The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is seeking a dedicated and qualified academic professional to fill the position of Lecturer II in the Department of Veterinary Medicine, specifically within the unit of Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, field placements, and student dissertations.
- Conduct high-quality, impactful research and publish findings in peer-reviewed academic journals.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committee meetings and academic administration tasks.
- Engage in community outreach programs and veterinary public health campaigns.
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes within the department.
- Possession of a First Degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) with not below a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division with a PhD.
- Must hold a PhD or a Master's degree in Veterinary Public Health, Epidemiology, or a closely related field.
- For candidates with a Master's degree, a minimum of three (3) years of tertiary teaching and research experience is required.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed publications in reputable academic journals.
- Demonstrated ability to teach, inspire students, and attract research grants is an added advantage.
