About the Role
Federal University Lafia, a fast-growing institution committed to academic excellence and national development, is seeking a dedicated and qualified professional to join our esteemed faculty. We are currently recruiting a Lecturer II in Veterinary Microbiology to contribute to our expanding College of Medicine and related veterinary programs in Nasarawa State, Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Veterinary Microbiology and related disciplines.
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate student research projects and academic portfolios.
- Conduct high-quality research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and attract research grants.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and academic committee meetings.
- Provide academic advising, mentoring, and career guidance to students.
- Engage in community service and institutional advancement initiatives on behalf of the university.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Veterinary Microbiology or a closely related relevant field from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Alternatively, candidates with a Master's degree plus at least two (2) peer-reviewed journal publications will be considered.
- Minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience at the university level.
- Demonstrated ability to produce scholarly publications and contribute to academic advancements in veterinary medicine.
