About the Role
Owolabi University is a newly established, NUC-licensed private university located in Osun State, Nigeria, dedicated to delivering academic excellence and preparing graduates for a fast-changing digital world. We are currently seeking a dynamic, research-driven, and passionate professional to join our Faculty of Science and Computing as a Lecturer II in Information Technology.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical lab sessions, and tutorials for undergraduate students in Information Technology and related computing courses.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and innovative teaching methodologies.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, academic assignments, and student internships.
- Conduct high-quality academic research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, meetings, and community service initiatives.
- Provide academic advising, mentoring, and career guidance to students.
- Possession of a PhD Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field from a reputable university.
- Demonstrated post-qualification, full-time relevant teaching and research experience within a tertiary institution.
- A robust portfolio of scholarly publications in reputable, indexed academic journals.
