Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials in English language and literature to undergraduate students.
  • Develop and update course curricula, syllabi, and teaching materials in line with NUC and university standards.
  • Conduct high-quality academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Supervise undergraduate research projects, essays, and academic assignments.
  • Participate in student academic advising, mentoring, and departmental committee meetings.
  • Assist in the administration of examinations, grading, and continuous assessment records.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a Ph.D. degree in English or a closely related discipline from a reputable university.
  • Alternatively, Master's degree holders with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification full-time teaching experience in a tertiary institution are eligible.
  • Strong evidence of academic publications in peer-reviewed journals will be a distinct advantage.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in modern teaching methodologies and digital learning tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
