About the Role
Vision University, a newly established private, faith-based institution in Ikogbo Town, Ogun State, licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2023, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lecturer II in English. Mentored by Lagos State University (LASU), our institution is committed to upholding high academic standards and fostering moral excellence. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials in English language and literature to undergraduate students.
- Develop and update course curricula, syllabi, and teaching materials in line with NUC and university standards.
- Conduct high-quality academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, essays, and academic assignments.
- Participate in student academic advising, mentoring, and departmental committee meetings.
- Assist in the administration of examinations, grading, and continuous assessment records.
- Must possess a Ph.D. degree in English or a closely related discipline from a reputable university.
- Alternatively, Master's degree holders with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification full-time teaching experience in a tertiary institution are eligible.
- Strong evidence of academic publications in peer-reviewed journals will be a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrated proficiency in modern teaching methodologies and digital learning tools.
