About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lecturer II in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Electrical Machines or Electrical Power Systems, to join our expanding Faculty of Engineering. In this role, you will contribute to our mission of setting a new standard of educational distinction in Africa by delivering exceptional teaching, conducting impactful research, and mentoring the next generation of problem solvers and game changers.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Electrical Engineering, focusing on Electrical Machines or Electrical Power Systems.
- Develop innovative curriculum content and modern instructional materials aligned with global academic standards.
- Conduct cutting-edge research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and actively seek grant funding opportunities.
- Advise, mentor, and supervise students on academic progression, career development, and research projects.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, contributing to the academic and administrative growth of the institution.
- Engage in community service and industry collaborations to foster sustainable solutions for pressing societal challenges.
- A Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited institution, with a distinct specialization in Electrical Machines or Electrical Power Systems.
- Demonstrated evidence of strong teaching capability and clear research potential, including relevant academic publications.
- Current registration with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) is a distinct added advantage.
