About the Role
Al-Hikmah University, a premier private conventional institution in Ilorin, Nigeria, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic professional to join our academic team as a Lecturer II in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality education, conducting impactful research, and mentoring students in an environment that upholds both academic excellence and moral integrity in line with our core motto: Learning for Wisdom and Morality.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures, seminars, and tutorials in Public Administration and related political science courses.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, dissertations, and academic assignments.
- Conduct high-quality, peer-reviewed research and publish scholarly articles in reputable academic journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university committee assignments.
- Mentor and guide students academically and morally, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Engage in community service and institutional advancement initiatives as required by the university.
- Must possess a Ph.D. degree in Public Administration or a closely related field from a recognized and accredited university.
- Alternatively, candidates with a Master's degree in Public Administration and a minimum of four (4) relevant academic publications may apply.
- Demonstrated teaching experience at the tertiary education level is a significant advantage.
