About the Role
Vision University, a dynamic and fast-growing private faith-based institution in Ikogbo Town, Ogun State, Nigeria, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Lecturer II in Cyber Security to join our pioneering academic community. As a Lecturer II, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of cybersecurity professionals, contributing to curriculum delivery, student mentorship, and innovative research within our expanding Faculty of Computing and Sciences.
Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging undergraduate lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in cyber security and related computing courses.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessment tools aligned with NUC benchmarks and global industry standards.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, research dissertations, and academic field assignments.
- Conduct impactful research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, community service, and institutional accreditation exercises.
- Provide academic counseling, guidance, and mentorship to students to foster both intellectual and moral growth.
Candidates must meet the following academic and professional requirements:
- Must possess a Ph.D. degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline from a reputable university.
- Alternatively, holders of a Master's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification full-time teaching experience in a tertiary institution are also eligible to apply.
- Strong evidence of academic publications in peer-reviewed journals will be a distinct and added advantage.
- Demonstrated proficiency in modern digital teaching tools and practical cybersecurity frameworks.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills with a high level of professional integrity.
