Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Lecturer II in the Department of Architecture, School of Environmental Studies. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical studio sessions for National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) Architecture students.
- Conduct impactful research in architecture, environmental studies, and sustainable urban design, publishing findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, theses, and studio designs.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and academic committee assignments.
- Contribute to community service initiatives and establish linkages with the architectural industry and professional bodies.
- Participate in academic conferences, seminars, and workshops to foster professional growth.
- Doctorate degree in Architecture or a closely related relevant discipline, accompanied by at least three (3) conference or seminar papers and three (3) published journal articles.
- Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Architecture or a relevant discipline with a minimum of three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, three (3) conference/seminar papers, and three (3) published journal articles.
- Serving Lecturer III candidates with a Master's degree who have completed at least three (3) years of satisfactory service, plus two (2) conference papers and two (2) published journal articles, are also eligible.
- Registration with relevant professional regulatory bodies such as ARCON is a strong advantage.
