About the Role

Fountain University, owned by the Nasrul-Lahi-Il-Fatih Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), is a premier institution dedicated to academic distinction and moral uprightness. We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified individual to join our academic cadre as a Lecturer I in the Department of Software Engineering. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality education, mentoring future software engineers, and driving impactful research within an enabling, values-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Software Engineering and related computer science courses.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student projects, dissertations, and academic research.
  • Develop and update curriculum content in line with current global tech industry standards and NUC guidelines.
  • Conduct cutting-edge research, publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals, and attract research grants.
  • Participate actively in departmental, college, and university committee meetings, as well as community service initiatives.
  • Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
  • Must have served as a Lecturer II for at least 2 consecutive years.
  • Must have a minimum of 7 academic publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Demonstrated commitment to upholding high Islamic moral and ethical values.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative teamwork skills.
