About the Role
Vision University, a dynamic and newly established private, faith-based institution in Ikogbo Town, Ogun State, Nigeria, is seeking a dedicated and experienced academic professional to join our Department of Nursing Science as a Lecturer I. Licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2023 and mentored by Lagos State University (LASU), we are committed to academic excellence, high moral standards, and producing top-tier healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Nursing Science to undergraduate students.
- Develop and update curriculum content in line with NUC and professional nursing board standards.
- Conduct impactful research and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals.
- Mentor, advise, and supervise students in academic progress and clinical practice.
- Participate in departmental meetings, university committees, and institutional accreditation processes.
- Contribute to community engagement and healthcare outreach initiatives organized by the university.
- Must possess a Ph.D. degree in Nursing Science or a closely related field from a reputable university.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Demonstrable evidence of scholarly publications in recognized academic journals.
- Current registration and valid practicing license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
