We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified professional to join our academic cadre as a Lecturer I in the Department of Linguistics and Languages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in Linguistics and Languages to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Develop and update course curricula in line with national educational standards and university objectives.
  • Supervise undergraduate research projects, theses, and student dissertations.
  • Conduct high-impact academic research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Provide academic advising, mentoring, and pastoral guidance to students to foster holistic development.
  • Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
  • Engage in community service initiatives and contribute to the advancement of the university's mission.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Linguistics, Languages, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Must have served as a Lecturer II for a minimum of two (2) years.
  • Evidence of a minimum of seven (7) academic publications in reputable local and international journals.
  • Demonstrated commitment to upholding Islamic moral and ethical values in an academic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
