About the Role
Owolabi University is a newly established private university located in Oke-Ila Orangun, Osun State, currently operating from its take-off site in Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. Licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) on June 29, 2026, the institution is dedicated to widening access to quality higher education and preparing graduates for a fast-changing digital world. We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lecturer I in Information Technology to join our esteemed Faculty of Science and Computing.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Information Technology and related computing courses.
- Supervise student research projects, practical laboratory sessions, and academic dissertations.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and faculty committee assignments.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
- Contribute to community service initiatives and university advancement programs.
- Possession of a PhD Degree in Information Technology or a closely related computing discipline from a reputable university.
- At least three (3) years of post-qualification, full-time relevant teaching and research experience in a university setting.
- A minimum of eight (8) scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Demonstrated ability to use modern teaching technologies and pedagogical approaches.
