About the Role
Fountain University, owned by the Nasrul-Lahi-Il-Fatih Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), is a premier institution dedicated to academic distinction combined with strong moral and ethical values. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Computer Science professional to join our academic cadre as a Lecturer I. In this role, you will inspire undergraduate and postgraduate students, conduct impactful research, and contribute to the continuous growth of our Department of Computer Science within a supportive and values-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in undergraduate and postgraduate computer science courses.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and academic fieldworks.
- Conduct high-quality research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the academic profile of the university.
- Participate in curriculum development, course design, and departmental administration.
- Provide academic advising, mentoring, and pastoral support to students to ensure their holistic development.
- Engage in community service and institutional advancement initiatives aligned with the university mission.
- Must possess a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Must have served as a Lecturer II for at least 2 consecutive years.
- A strong publication record comprising a minimum of 7 peer-reviewed articles in reputable journals.
- Demonstrated ability to foster an engaging learning environment and integrate Islamic moral and ethical values into teaching.
