About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified Lecturer Grade II to join our Department of Nursing Science, specifically focusing on Maternal and Child Health. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality instruction, conducting impactful research, and mentoring students to become competent and compassionate healthcare professionals within a rapidly evolving global landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Maternal and Child Health Nursing.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum content in alignment with NUC and professional board standards.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, clinical postings, and academic fieldwork.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through examinations, continuous assessments, and clinical competency evaluations.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and university-wide academic events.
- Engage in continuous professional development, scholarly research, and publication in peer-reviewed journals.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to nursing students.
- Possess a minimum of a Master's degree in Nursing Science with a specific specialization in Maternal and Child Health, Paediatrics, or Midwifery from a recognized and accredited university.
- Current active practicing license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Demonstrated teaching experience at the tertiary education level or substantial clinical experience in maternal and child healthcare.
- Strong publication record in reputable academic journals is an added advantage.
