Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Mental and Psychiatric Nursing to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Develop and update course curricula, teaching materials, and assessment methods in line with national and international nursing standards.
  • Supervise student research projects, clinical placements, and fieldwork within mental health facilities.

  • Provide academic counseling, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, and university committee assignments as required.
Qualifications
  • Possess a Master's degree or Ph.D. in Nursing Science with a distinct specialization in Mental Health or Psychiatric Nursing.
  • Current registration and valid practicing license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
  • Demonstrated prior lecturing and teaching experience within a recognized tertiary institution at the Lecturer Grade I level or equivalent.
  • A robust portfolio of academic publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and student-mentorship skills.
  • Proficiency in modern e-learning tools and pedagogical approaches.
