Independent Project Monitoring Company Limited (IPMC) is a premier firm of professional consultants specializing in the oil and gas, infrastructure, and building sectors. We are currently seeking a dynamic and seasoned Lead Quantity Surveyor / Cost & Commercial Assurance Consultant to join our expert team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will provide independent oversight, cost control, and commercial assurance to ensure our clients successfully achieve their project goals with financial and operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Perform quantity surveying and independent measurement across major industrial and infrastructure projects.
- Verify contractor payment applications, progress, and payment certification.
- Conduct comprehensive cost and commercial assurance, including variation and change-control assessments.
- Review contractor claims, prepare cost forecasts, and execute financial monitoring.
- Manage Bills of Quantities (BoQ), schedules of rates, final accounts, and project close-out activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant post-qualification experience with a strong background in a lead or supervisory capacity.
- Extensive experience working on oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, power, or major infrastructure projects.
- Relevant professional certification such as NIQS, RQS, MRICS, FRICS, or equivalent chartered status.
- Demonstrated expertise in EPC/EPCM, Owner's Engineer, or Project Assurance environments with exceptional leadership and analytical skills.
