About the Role
Lily Hospitals Limited, a leading multi-specialty private healthcare provider in Nigeria established in 1984, is seeking an experienced and principled Lead, Internal Audit. In this vital role, you will provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of our governance, risk management, and internal control processes while collaborating with leadership to ensure high-quality healthcare delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a risk-based internal audit plan aligned with organisational priorities and emerging risks.
- Lead and conduct comprehensive audits of financial, operational, clinical-support, and administrative processes.
- Assess the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls, compliance, and governance frameworks.
- Prepare concise, evidence-based audit reports detailing findings, assessing risk levels, and outlining practical recommendations.
- Monitor management action plans and verify the successful implementation of agreed audit recommendations.
- Promote organisational awareness of ethical conduct, accountability, and robust internal controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as CIA, ACA, ACCA, CISA, or an equivalent recognized qualification is highly desirable.
- Substantial proven experience in internal audit, external audit, risk management, or compliance within a reputable organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end audit engagements from initial planning through to reporting and follow-up.
- Exceptional analytical, report-writing, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
