About the Role
PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc, a renowned multinational leader in consumer goods manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Analyst to join our dynamic quality assurance team. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the exceptional standards of our globally recognized brands, including Imperial Leather, Cussons Baby, and Morning Fresh, by ensuring rigorous testing, precise analysis, and strict adherence to safety and quality regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct accurate chemical and physical analyses of raw materials, bulk liquids, semi-finished, and finished goods according to established standard operating procedures.
- Ensure timely turnaround and documentation of all test results, maintaining fully compliant laboratory logs and generating daily, weekly, and monthly summary reports.
- Manage equipment calibration, troubleshoot laboratory instruments, and ensure optimal operational efficiency and reliability.
- Handle reagent preparation and standardization proactively, maintaining appropriate buffer stocks to prevent stockouts.
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards across all laboratory operations.
- B.Sc, HND, or OND in Physical Sciences such as Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, related Laboratory Sciences, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on work experience in a similar laboratory or quality control role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of GMP (ISO 22716:2007) and QMS (ISO 9001:2015) standards.
- Proficiency in basic computer software and strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
