About the Role
Ascentech Services Limited is seeking a meticulous and driven KYC Officer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will serve as a critical line of defense by verifying customer identities, validating critical documentation, and ensuring full compliance with customer due diligence requirements. You will play an essential role in safeguarding our operations against fraud while delivering a seamless onboarding experience for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Review and thoroughly verify customer identification, personal information, and supporting legal documents.
- Conduct rigorous customer due diligence (CDD) to identify discrepancies, suspicious information, or potential fraud risks.
- Ensure accurate customer data entry, proper documentation, and secure record maintenance in digital systems.
- Adhere strictly to applicable Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and internal compliance procedures.
- Escalate incomplete applications, high-risk cases, and compliance concerns to the appropriate management teams.
- Collaborate closely with Credit and Operations departments to support efficient and timely customer onboarding.
- OND, HND, or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of proven professional experience in KYC, customer verification, regulatory compliance, banking, fintech, or lending.
- Solid working knowledge of identity verification processes, customer due diligence, and AML principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and modern digital documentation systems.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail, analytical skills, high integrity, and ability to handle confidential information.
