About the Role
The Place is a leading brand in the Nigerian food services and hospitality sector, committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Kitchen Accountant to join our dynamic team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining inventory accuracy, managing production logs, and ensuring seamless financial reporting between our central kitchen and restaurant locations.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure proper and accurate food portioning using the Portion Calculator.
- Produce products on Navision to create accurate inventory quantities on the system.
- Ship produced items from the kitchen location to various restaurant locations on NAV daily.
- Monitor the receipt of Transfer Orders raised by production supervisors.
- Post and prepare Kitchen Loss and Product Variance Reports.
- Manage Ezee to Navision drop integration and ensure inventory quantities in both locations tally with physical counts.
- Balance kitchen and restaurant inventory daily and accurately.
- Investigate causes of high variances before reporting them on the General Ledger (GL).
- Post items to be expensed into their relevant GL expense accounts.
- Post items for staff meals to the appropriate GL.
- Update and escalate issues on the Product Ageing Tracker.
- Open and close the day for restaurant operations on Ezee Burrp.
- Escalate any abnormalities or abuse of customer products by production or restaurant staff.
- Minimum of an OND and maximum of an HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of relevant accounting or inventory management experience.
- Must be computer literate with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong aptitude for numbers and calculations.
- Well-composed, articulate, and professional demeanor.
- Must reside in Yaba, Surulere, or easily accessible surrounding areas in Lagos.
