About the Role
Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the Junior Residency Training Programme in Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology. Located in Ile-Ife, Osun State, OAUTHC is a premier federal tertiary health institution dedicated to excellence in patient care, academic research, and medical training.
Key Responsibilities- Participate actively in the clinical diagnosis and management of patients under the supervision of senior medical and academic consultants.
- Conduct thorough patient examinations, take medical histories, and formulate appropriate treatment plans in oral medicine and pathology.
- Engage in departmental seminars, case presentations, clinical ward rounds, and academic research activities.
- Fulfill all rotation requirements across relevant units as stipulated by the training curriculum and hospital management.
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere strictly to professional medical ethics and hospital safety standards.
- Possess an MBBS, BDS, or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
- Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) along with a current practicing license.
- Evidence of completion, exemption, or exclusion from the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
- A pass in the relevant primary examination of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or the West African Postgraduate Medical College is an added advantage but not strictly compulsory.
