We are currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our dynamic hotel finance team. Key Responsibilities- Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and reconciliations in compliance with established accounting standards.
- Post daily transactions including revenue, expenses, and journal entries into the corporate accounting system.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and daily guest ledgers regularly.
- Maintain proper filing of financial records and support documentation for internal and external audits.
- Assist in payroll preparation and ensure the absolute accuracy of employee records.
- Prepare and review petty cash vouchers, ensuring appropriate management approvals are secured.
- Collaborate seamlessly with other departments to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies.
- Support comprehensive month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant professional work experience, with hospitality industry experience as an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of fundamental accounting principles such as GAAP or IFRS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting software like QuickBooks or Sage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
