About the Role
The Nigerian Navy invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Journalist. Working within our esteemed institution, you will support strategic communication, public affairs, and media documentation to foster national awareness and community engagement in alignment with our core vision and mission.
Key Responsibilities- Gather, write, and edit news stories, press releases, and articles regarding naval operations and activities.
- Capture high-quality photographs and produce documentary films or video content for official publications and archives.
- Manage public relations campaigns, media inquiries, and information library resources efficiently.
- Design graphic arts and oversee printing technology operations for various naval publications and public awareness materials.
- Collaborate with internal communication teams to project a positive and professional image of the Nigerian Navy across multiple media channels.
- Minimum of OND Lower Credit in Mass Communication, Journalism, Photography, Printing Technology, Information Library, Public Relations, Graphic Arts, Film Making, or Cinematography.
- Must possess SSCE or equivalent with at least 5 credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
