About the Role
The Obaland Magazine and Newspaper, established in 2009 in partnership with Multichoice Media House, is a premier international publication distributed across Nigeria and the Piedmont region of Italy. We are dedicated to delivering concrete and captivating content covering entertainment, news, fashion, art, culture, lifestyle, and business to our wide readership. We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Journalist to join our growing editorial team at our Benin City office.
Key Responsibilities- Research, write, and edit compelling news stories, features, and articles across various beats including entertainment, business, culture, and lifestyle.
- Conduct interviews with key figures, industry experts, and members of the public to gather accurate and engaging information.
- Meet strict editorial deadlines while maintaining high standards of journalistic integrity and fact-checking.
- Collaborate closely with editors, photographers, and fellow media professionals to produce high-quality print and digital content.
- Utilize basic digital skills and content management systems to publish and promote stories online and across social media platforms.
- Experienced media professionals with a proven portfolio of published work, or fresh graduates with a degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Broadcasting, English, or related disciplines.
- Talented and motivated individuals with practical media skills who possess a strong willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Ability and willingness to work physically from our office in Benin City.
