About the Role
Genesis Group, a leading Nigerian conglomerate in hospitality, entertainment, and food production, is seeking a meticulous and driven Inventory Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will oversee stock management, reconcile inventory records, and implement robust internal controls to minimize losses and optimize supply chain efficiency across our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end inventory accounting processes, including stock valuation, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Monitor stock movement across our diverse business units, including industrial catering, restaurants, and cinemas.
- Conduct routine physical stock counts and audits to ensure accuracy between physical inventory and ERP records.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to identify slow-moving or obsolete items and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies, accounting standards, and statutory regulations.
- Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management decision-making.
- Minimum of 6 years of cognizant inventory accounting experience within the food service industry or hospitality sector.
- Must be a certified holder of ACA, ACCA, or CISCM.
- Impeccable character, high integrity, and strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
