About the Role
Bons Industries Limited is a leading Nigerian manufacturer of high-quality bakery materials, food ingredients, breakfast cereals, packaged foods, and beverages. With our corporate headquarters in Lagos and factory in Enugu, we are dedicated to maintaining world-class standards across all operations. We are currently looking for a meticulous Internal Auditor to join our Enugu branch and help uphold our commitment to financial transparency and accountability.
Key Responsibilities- Review accounting records, payment vouchers, invoices, receipts, and comprehensive financial reports.
- Verify the accuracy, validity, and completeness of all daily financial transactions.
- Conduct periodic cash counts, bank reconciliation reviews, and ensure proper expenditure authorization.
- Review daily sales reports submitted by branches and sales representatives while tracking customer payments.
- Conduct periodic and surprise stock counts to verify inventory records against physical stock.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven internal audit or accounting experience, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or an ongoing progression is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and high ethical standards.
- Proficiency in financial software, MS Excel, and general ERP systems.
