About the Role
SIMS Nigeria Limited, a leading distributor of top electronic brands like SAMSUNG and ROYAL in Nigeria, is seeking a meticulous and analytical Internal Auditor. In this role, you will play a crucial part in evaluating our internal controls, managing business risks, and ensuring operational compliance across our various branches nationwide.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct planned and ad-hoc financial, operational, and compliance audits across various company functions and branch locations.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and corporate governance practices.
- Perform physical cash counts, inventory verification, fixed asset inspections, and branch audits.
- Investigate suspected fraud, irregularities, and policy violations, reporting actionable findings to management.
- Prepare detailed audit working papers, comprehensive reports, and practical recommendations for process improvements.
- Review procurement processes, vendor transactions, and contract compliance to identify and seal control gaps.
- Support external statutory audits by providing required documentation and maintaining seamless coordination.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIA is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in internal audit, risk management, or compliance within a structured corporate environment.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting standards, taxation, and internal auditing standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and hands-on experience working with ERP systems.
- High level of integrity, objectivity, and exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel to regional branch locations as required for audit assignments.
