We are seeking a meticulous and seasoned Internal Auditor to join our headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will safeguard our financial health, evaluate internal controls, and ensure strict compliance with regulatory standards across our dynamic business operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive annual internal audit plans based on identified business risks.
- Review financial records, transactions, processes, and internal controls to identify weaknesses and mitigate potential risks.
- Conduct regular, thorough audits across all departments and business operations.
- Identify financial irregularities, control deficiencies, and potential cases of fraud with high precision.
- Prepare detailed, objective audit reports and present actionable findings to executive management.
- Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
- Evaluate compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and international accounting standards.
- Support management in special investigations and ad-hoc audit assignments as required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Mandatory Chartered Accountant status (ACA or equivalent professional qualification).
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, with a strong background in internal auditing.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, risk management frameworks, and internal control procedures.
- Superior analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional report-writing and stakeholder communication skills.
