About the Role
Victory Empowerment Centre, a leading microfinance institution utilizing group lending methodology, is hiring an Internal Auditor to play a crucial role in maintaining organizational integrity and financial accountability. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive internal audits, evaluating risk management frameworks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements across our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular internal audits of financial records, operational processes, and lending activities
- Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management systems
- Evaluate compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures
- Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations for improvement
- Monitor implementation of audit recommendations by management
- Identify operational inefficiencies and suggest process improvements
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and independence in all audit activities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certifications (CIA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum 2-3 years of internal audit or related experience
- Strong knowledge of audit standards, IFRS, and regulatory frameworks
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- High level of integrity and professional ethics
