About the Role

SIMS Nigeria Limited, a leading distributor of top electronic brands such as Samsung, Royal, and Powermatic, is seeking a detail-oriented, highly ethical Internal Auditor. In this role, you will evaluate and improve the effectiveness of our internal controls, risk management processes, and governance frameworks across our nationwide operations. You will play a vital role in safeguarding company assets and supporting organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct planned and ad-hoc financial, operational, and compliance audits across finance, sales, inventory, and procurement.
  • Evaluate the adequacy of internal controls and review financial records for accuracy and statutory compliance.
  • Perform branch audits, cash counts, inventory verification, and fixed asset inspections.
  • Identify operational and financial risks, investigate irregularities, and recommend practical corrective actions.
  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports and working papers for management review.
  • Collaborate with department heads and support external statutory audits.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven internal or external audit experience.
  • Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIA is a distinct advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, internal auditing standards, and corporate governance.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • High integrity, objectivity, and willingness to travel to branch locations as required.
