About the Role
Rainoil Limited is a leading downstream oil and gas marketing company with extensive operations spanning petroleum product storage, haulage, and retail sales. We are currently seeking a dynamic and analytical Internal Audit Officer to join our professional team at Norsworthy. In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding the company's assets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and evaluating the effectiveness of our internal control systems across our expanding business operations.
Key Responsibilities- Review financial transactions, records, and general ledger entries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct physical inventory counts, assess farm produce, and verify company assets regularly.
- Review procurement processes, vendor selections, and payment disbursements to mitigate financial leakage.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Identify potential operational risks, fraud indicators, and internal control weaknesses.
- Verify payroll accuracy and maintain the confidentiality of staff records.
- Recommend actionable improvements to internal controls, accounting processes, and operational workflows.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports for management and actively follow up on audit findings.
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIA will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in internal auditing, financial analysis, or risk management, preferably within the oil and gas or manufacturing sector.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
