About the Role
Spin 95.3 FM, a leading commercial broadcast radio station operating in Umuahia, Abia State, is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Intern to join our media team. Launched in late 2023 and transmitting 24/7 on 95.3 MHz, we bridge the gap in entertainment and information for youth and general audiences across the Southeastern region. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced broadcasting industry, working alongside seasoned media professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Assist producers and on-air personalities with daily broadcast operations and show preparation.
- Conduct research on trending topics, news, and entertainment stories relevant to our target audience.
- Help manage social media platforms, create digital content, and engage with listeners online.
- Participate in community outreach events, station promotions, and live broadcasts.
- Perform general administrative duties and support various departments as needed.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English, Theater Arts, or a related field.
- Strong passion for broadcast media, radio production, and youth culture.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with social media management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment in Umuahia.
