About the Role

We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join our dynamic team at the Apapa Terminal in Lagos, Nigeria. In this vital role, you will champion the implementation of instrumentation engineering and maintenance policies to guarantee optimal plant availability, operational safety, and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Execute routine check-ups of instrumentation equipment according to maintenance schedules, workload, and workforce availability.
- Coordinate the testing, repairing, calibration, and troubleshooting of advanced Instrumentation Control systems.
- Allocate work orders and supervise instrumentation technicians to ensure strict adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Endorse work feedback and accurately close out work orders within the maintenance database.
- Liaise closely with the mechanical and electrical sections to foster seamless integration between operations and maintenance teams.
- Prepare and review comprehensive maintenance performance reports, including Preliminary Failure and Root Cause Analysis Reports.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience, with prior cement plant or heavy industrial experience being a distinct advantage.
- In-depth technical knowledge of VFD and UPS operations, weighing systems, and Instrument Load centers.
- Demonstrated expertise in maintaining applicable ISO QMS requirements and standard duty logbook protocols.
