About the Role

The Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria (PSHAN) is seeking a motivated and experienced Human Resources Officer to join our dynamic team in Lagos. PSHAN serves as the premier business-led platform mobilizing private sector resources to significantly improve Nigeria's healthcare system. In this pivotal role, you will support our mission by building, managing, and empowering a formidable human resource team capable of achieving our strategic organizational goals and advancing public health outcomes nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and collaborating with hiring managers to define job requirements.
  • Manage employee relations by resolving conflicts, addressing grievances, and fostering a positive, inclusive work culture.
  • Develop and implement performance management frameworks, conducting reviews and providing actionable feedback.
  • Identify learning needs and coordinate training, development, and onboarding programs.
  • Administer compensation and benefits packages, ensuring competitive salary structures and perks.
  • Develop, enforce, and update HR policies in strict compliance with Nigerian labor laws and employment regulations.
  • Oversee daily HR administrative tasks, including record-keeping, payroll support, and HRIS management.
  • Design employee engagement and retention strategies to boost morale, measure satisfaction, and reduce turnover.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CIPM or PHR is a distinct advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven post-graduation experience in a dedicated Human Resources role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel, and modern HR software systems.
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and digital HR transformation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
