About the Role
FIPHS Infrastructure Limited is a premier indigenous world-class infrastructure development company dedicated to addressing Africa's infrastructure deficit. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Professional to lead and manage all HSE functions across our organization. In this vital role, you will drive the implementation of strategic safety systems, ensure full regulatory compliance, and foster a proactive culture of workplace safety throughout our construction and project sites.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and conduct regular HSE training programs and orientation sessions covering safety laws, hazard control, and proper equipment usage.
- Investigate and document construction incidents, accidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes to implement effective preventive measures.
- Conduct thorough safety audits and site inspections of equipment, tools, and worksites to ensure strict adherence to internal and external safety standards.
- Monitor worksites and company facilities to guarantee continuous compliance with company HSE policies and Nigerian government regulations.
- Recommend corrective actions and oversee the implementation of rapid-response systems for on-site and off-site incidents.
- Develop and implement project-specific HSE procedures, comprehensive risk assessments, and maintain proper safety documentation.
- Ensure uncompromising compliance with ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 standards across all operational project locations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related HSE discipline.
- Mandatory possession of recognized HSE certifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent international standards.
- In-depth, practical knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 management systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in HSE roles, specifically within the construction or infrastructure industry.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and strong interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and relevant project management or engineering software tools.
