About the Role
Ascentech Services Limited is looking for a dedicated and experienced HSE Officer to join our dynamic team and help maintain a safe, secure, and compliant working environment. In this role, you will play a vital part in protecting our workforce by proactively identifying hazards, enforcing health and safety protocols, and fostering a strong safety culture across the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and monitor HSE policies and procedures consistently across the facility.
- Conduct regular, thorough safety inspections and comprehensive risk assessments.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant Nigerian HSE regulations and internal company safety standards.
- Organize and conduct engaging HSE training and safety awareness sessions for all employees.
- Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure strict adherence to safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date HSE records and comprehensive documentation.
- Identify potential workplace hazards promptly and recommend effective corrective actions.
- Promote a proactive health and safety culture within the entire organization.
- HND or B.Sc. in Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of proven, hands-on experience in an HSE role (fresh graduates are not eligible).
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Excellent observation, analytical, and risk assessment skills.
- Prior experience conducting impactful HSE training sessions.
- Relevant professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, ISPON, or OSHA will be a significant advantage.
