About the Role
Hotel Capitol, a modern three-star luxury hotel strategically located in the heart of Omole Phase 1, Lagos, is seeking customer-focused and vibrant Hotel Waiters and Waitresses to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this role, you will be the face of our dining and room service operations, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable culinary experience characterized by warmth, speed, and precision.
Key Responsibilities- Greet guests warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders, actively upselling menu items and daily specials.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently according to established hotel service standards and room service procedures.
- Handle guest bills, invoices, and point-of-sales (POS) transactions accurately, ensuring all sales are properly recorded.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at service stations, clearing tables and removing soiled dishes promptly.
- Prepare the outlet for daily operations by setting and resetting tables and completing assigned opening and closing duties.
- Collaborate with kitchen and supervisory staff by effectively forwarding captain's order slips and communicating special dietary requests.
- Stay fully informed about all menu items, ingredients, portion sizes, preparation methods, and promotional offerings.
- Minimum of an SSCE qualification.
- Prior experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is an added advantage.
- Candidates must reside within the Akute, Ojodu, Ikeja, Agege, and Ogba axis for ease of commuting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
