In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping students' practical life skills, fostering creativity, and ensuring academic excellence in both internal and external examinations.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive Home Economics lessons in accordance with the school curriculum.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and effective classroom management environment conducive to practical and theoretical learning.
- Assess, monitor, and record students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their continuous academic and personal improvement.
- Prepare students thoroughly for both internal assessments and relevant external examinations.
- Manage laboratory and classroom equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring all practical sessions meet high safety standards.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), B.Sc, or HND in Home Economics, Home Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven teaching experience in a reputable secondary school environment.
- Deep knowledge of the Nigerian secondary school curriculum for Home Economics.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong passion for youth development and modern pedagogical approaches.
- TRCN registration is an added advantage.
