Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive and engaging History lessons to both junior and senior secondary students in alignment with the approved curriculum.
- Develop detailed lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Encourage interactive classroom discussions, critical analysis of historical events, and a deep appreciation for national and global heritage.
- Monitor, evaluate, and record students' academic progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support where necessary.
- Maintain a disciplined, safe, and positive classroom environment conducive to effective teaching and learning.
- Participate actively in school-wide extracurricular activities, departmental meetings, and professional development programs.
- Possession of a Bachelor degree in History, Education, or a related field from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven teaching experience within a reputable secondary school environment.
- Deep knowledge of the Nigerian secondary school curriculum and contemporary educational methodologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- A strong moral character aligned with the core values of discipline, integrity, and academic excellence.
- Possession of a teaching certification (TRCN) will be an added advantage.
