About the Role

The Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu (FUAHSE), established on March 14, 2024, is rapidly growing to meet Nigeria's evolving healthcare and manpower needs. Evolving from the former Federal College of Dental Technology and Therapy, our institution comprises six faculties and seventeen departments dedicated to training innovative, skilled, and proactive healthcare professionals. We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Higher Environmental Health Assistant to join our vibrant campus community and support our mission of excellence in allied health education and campus sanitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining high standards of environmental sanitation, hygiene, and public health across the university campus.
  • Inspect student hostels, dining facilities, academic buildings, and surrounding areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Support the planning and execution of campus-wide environmental health campaigns, workshops, and awareness programs.
  • Collaborate with university health services to manage waste disposal processes and vector control operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of environmental health inspections, incidents, and improvement recommendations submitted to the department head.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the University Management relating to environmental health and safety.
Qualifications
  • Applicants must possess the relevant academic and professional qualifications in Environmental Health or a related field as prescribed for the position.
